Mientras esperamos el lanzamiento del show este 28 noviembre, comentemos algunos de los acontecimientos que ocurrieron durante el Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2017 llevado a cabo el pasado 20 de noviembre.
El evento se realizó en Shangai y algunos de los invitados musicales incluyeron a Harry Styles, y Jane Zhang. Todos los ángeles caminaron la pasarela excepto la embarazada Behati Prinsloo. Candice Swanepoel abrió el show, retornando a la pasarela de Victoria’s Secret a poco más de un año de haber dado a luz a su hizo, luciendo un diseño con tartán de Balmain y alas de plumas negras y rojas.
Por otro lado, tenemos que el show estuvo dividido en 6 segmentos temáticos. Este año, la marca abrió con el grupo “Punk Angel” presentando los looks de Balmain, seguido de una sección de “Goddesses” con modelos que canalizaban deidades Greco-Romanas con coronas de laurel dorado y alas ornamentadas con hojas de oro. La sección de VS Pink tenía como tema “Millennial Nation” y fue seguida por el colorido grupo de “Winter’s Tale”. La colección “Porcelain Angel” reflejó en sus diseños en azul y blanco los jarrones de la dinastía Ming, y el espectáculo cerró con una sección multicultural de titulada “Nomadic Angels” mostrando tradiciones culturales de todo el mundo.
Además, luego de meses de especulación, los looks de Balmain para VS fueron revelados. Olivier Rousteing, el director creativo de Balmain, le dio un espíritu rockero a las piezas, mostrando tachuelas mezcladas con estampados de tartán; debutando la ropa interior de Victoria’s Secret x Balmain. Modelos como Stella Maxwell y Martha Hunt usaron chaquetas de cuero en la pasarela.
Cuando el show debute al aire este 28 de noviembre, seguro estaremos pegadas al televisor para poder disfrutar de toda la magia de este desfile de modas.

While we wait for the launch of the show this November 28, let’s talk about some of the events that took place during the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2017 held on November 20.
The event was held in Shanghai and some of the musical guests included Harry Styles, and Jane Zhang. All the angels walked the catwalk except the pregnant Behati Prinsloo. Candice Swanepoel opened the show, returning to the Victoria’s Secret runway a little over a year after giving birth to her son, wearing a Balmain tartan design and black and red feathers wings.
On the other hand, we have that the show was divided into 6 theme segments. This year, the brand opened with the “Punk Angel” group presenting the looks of Balmain, followed by a section of “Goddesses” with models that channeled Greco-Roman deities with golden laurel wreaths and wings ornamented with gold leaf. The VS Pink section had the theme “Millennial Nation” and was followed by the colorful “Winter’s Tale” group. The “Porcelain Angel” collection reflected in its blue and white designs the vases of the Ming dynasty, and the show closed with a multicultural section entitled “Nomadic Angels” showing cultural traditions from around the world.
Also, after months of speculation, Balmain’s looks for VS were revealed. Olivier Rousteing, the creative director of Balmain, gave the pieces a rocker spirit, showing tacks mixed with tartan prints; debuting the underwear of Victoria’s Secret x Balmain. Models like Stella Maxwell and Martha Hunt wore leather jackets on the catwalk.
When the show debuts on air this November 28, we will surely be glued to the television to enjoy all the magic of this fashion show.
