Kaia Gerber debutó sobre las pasarelas la temporada pasada y desde entonces ha estado conquistando todo lo que se propone. Ahora más que nunca ha alcanzado el estatus de “It model” gracias a la colaboración entre ella y el icónico diseñador de Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld.
La modelo de 16 años ya ha caminado en dos desfiles de Chanel, obteniendo para el primero de ellos la prestigiosa posición de abrir el show. Esto ha dado paso a la colección en colaboración que será lanzada en una serie de eventos en L.A, Nueva York y Paris este próximo otoño.
La colección estará conformada por ropa, joyería, zapatos y lentes de sol; fusionando el estilo parisino chic de Karl con el estilo de la costa oeste de Gerber; donde los atuendos para la noche reflejarán sutil elegancia mientras que las prendas de día tendrán un toque del estilo relajado californiano.
El director ejecutivo de Karl comentó acerca de la colaboración: “Cuando Karl nos dijo por primera vez su idea de colaborar con Kaia, todos estábamos emocionados por el increíble potencial y el poder de unir sus dos mundos”, además añadió: “Hemos trabajado intensamente durante los últimos meses con Kaia en Los Ángeles y en nuestro estudio en París. Fue emocionante ver su visión clara, pasión y compromiso, y la colección definitivamente inspirará a muchas mujeres jóvenes”.

Kaia Gerber debuted on the catwalks last season and since then has been conquering everything that she has proposed. Now more than ever she has achieved the “It model” status thanks to the collaboration between she and the iconic Chanel designer, Karl Lagerfeld.
The 16-year-old model has already walked in two Chanel fashion shows, obtaining for the first of them the prestigious position of opening the show. This has given way to the collaborative collection that will be launched in a series of events in L.A, New York and Paris this coming autumn.
The collection will be made up of apparel, jewelry, shoes and sunglasses; merging Karl’s chic Parisian style with Gerber’s West Coast style; where night outfits will reflect a subtle elegance while day outfits will have a touch of the relaxed Californian style.
Karl’s CEO commented on the collaboration: “When Karl first told us his idea to collaborate with Kaia, we were all excited by the incredible potential and power of bringing their two worlds together”, he also added: “We have been working intensely over the last months with Kaia in LA and at our studio in Paris. It was exciting to see her clear vision, passion and engagement, and the collection will definitely inspire many young women”.
