Hacer esto es muy importante ya que la acumulación de restos, que incluye maquillaje viejo, piel muerta, polvo y otros, va tapando nuestros poros y al ponerse en contacto con nuestra piel cada vez que utilizamos estos instrumentos estaremos aplicándonos todos estos residuos.
Desde hace años, los pintores de óleo han empleado una técnica infalible para limpiar sus brochas y dejarlas impecables, esta consiste en mezclar partes iguales de jabón líquido y aceite, para el caso de las brochas de maquillaje te recomiendo utilizar aceite de oliva, y aplicar esta mezcla sobre las cerdas de las brochas, masajeando y haciendo círculos sobre la palma de la mano para remover todo el maquillaje atrapado en ellas. Es importante que una vez que observes que las brochas ya se han liberado de todo el sucio y maquillaje viejo, las enjuagues muy bien son agua tibia; dejándolas secar boca abajo para que el agua residual no afloje el pegamento que une las cerdas de la brocha.
